What’s for sale:

Supercharger unit off of a 2003 SL55 AMG. This should fit the same model of car through 2006 I believe. I originally picked this up from a Mercedes repair shop that replaced the unit under warranty for customer satisfaction issues (noise of some type) at 5,XXX miles (practically new). It turned out that the swap didn’t fix the problem. If I recall correctly, the shop was arguing that the noise is normal but a customer buying a new higher end Benz has some pull I’d imagine. Maybe you guys can tell me of any noise issues in this version of SL55…? I bought the thing with the intentions of building a project that doesn’t look like it is going to happen. Everything in the pictures is included. I am the one that took the clutch/drive unit off of the front in order to inspect the mechanicals as much as possible; the only thing missing would be the lube that was in the drive assembly. The unit has not been disassembled any more than is shown in the pictures. Everything looks to be in excellent shape and turns freely. I didn’t even have to clean this piece so all of the pics are as it was removed from the vehicle (looks like new). Any discoloration of the gears shown in the pics is the result of lube that has settled on the bottom of the gears during storage and will easily wipe off.

I do not have any related parts other than what is shown in the pictures…

I thought that offering this for sale on a few enthusiast forums would be the best way to reach the people that might be interested. I have no problem offering a money back guarantee. This will not cover shipping so be prepared to lose an estimated $200 in shipping to cover both ways. I know it sucks but I don’t know what else you could expect me to do.

Asking price is $1,400 shipped in the U.S + Paypal fees if that is your method of payment. This thing will weigh the better part of 100 pounds by the time it is crated. I’ll make damn sure it is well packed and the price will cover insurance as well. Item ships from 67207 or somewhere close. I am planning on using FedEx unless a buyer has another preference.
