Actually, in British Columbia, Canada (guess I should've mentioned), any car 25 years old or older, in original condition can be insured with "collector" plates and you get super cheap insurance. Of course there is restrictions, and you have to apply for this, which is not very difficult as long as your vehicle is in good condition and all original. You're allowed some modifications concerning safety, like shoulder seat belts, Disc brakes, etc. And it is 302,000 Kilometers which is about 190,000 Miles.
