Default I bent my rim

I need one driver, right -FRONT 2000 CLK 430 AMG CHROME WHEEL, it's the original rim that
came with the Mercedes. Just one. Please call or email me back if you have any suggestions, the dealer is asking $735 and that's robbery. I've contacted half off parts and car-parts.com, and have been unsuccessfully. Any other ideas besides getting the rake from the dealer?

Thank you so much!

Mike
I'm in Northern California- Bay Area

Mike-

just in case you don't know, bent rims are fixable- ask around @ your favorite tire store or check yellow pages/net

I broke my AMG rims, the price on each was 1500, found a place in SoCal, Gardena, they welded the rims looked like brand new, i was not able to find the broken spot. for 300 bucks they repaired both and saved me $3000.
All the body shops turned me down except for that place (a whole in a wall) They look great, if you want i can give you the address.

Have just gone through same thing and am looking for front left 17 " 7 x 5" width amg chrome for 2001 clk.. I have gone back to the orginal silver rims but just to let you know, i was quoted $550 from dealer and around similair price from company LA WHEEL AND TIRE... Also in my searches i have found great company which has 8 nationwide locations...they actually can fix rims that are not only bent but some that are even twisted a bit... I hit a moon creator and my rim was beyond help as i found out with them...but they are honest and if it can be fixed they are prob the only ones who will atleast check it out first on balance machine to see if the bend is not too bad.... the company is "wheels america"...good luck

We do not recommend fixing bent chrome wheels. You are going to have to buy a silver wheel and then have it chromed. AMG does not chrome their wheels. All AMG chrome wheels are done after market .

There's a place called Tru Wheel in N. Hollywood, CA. I use them at least twice a year and i live in NJ, definitely worth the repair, they do a phenomenal job on my Lorinser's. 800-fix-a-rim

Hi, sorry that is always a drivers worst common liability, especially in cities where curbing
is askew!
From what I've seen lately on ebay your chances may escalate at finding a single unit if you
will relentlessly send a photo of yours to some of the larger retailers there.
If you want to send me a photo of the bent one, I can let you know if I can fix it- I've seen
the Smokey Yunick jr. perform some miracles when I worked in his machine shop.
If straightening is plausible, that wheel is put on the rear after balancing.
All of the above depends on the damages. If you opt to send me pics make sure you have
2-3 angles inside and out side the beading rim.
good luck, Geneo
