V230
Help! Does anybody own a V230 people carrier, model 1997? If so are you experiencing any problems/noise regarding the self levelling suspension and a knocking noise from the front left wheel? Possibly something to do with drive shaft or the boot that surrounds it.
Just wandering if this is a common problem or something specific to my car.
Cheers

RE: V230
Hey Sleepwalker, please could you advise me? I have a V230 MPV and recently the ENR light on the dashboard comes on. I get a bouncy ride. apparently the self levelling rear suspension seems not to be functioning. Pls can you let me know what I need to check? And how much would it cost, etc? your reply will be greatly appreciated

RE: V230
Hi there, I am also having problems with the Electronic Level Control "ENR". The light has just come on and the rear suspension is down. Can't find anyone to give me advice if this is a known fault and how much it will cost to have it repaired. I thought it may be the air compressor that is burnt. I'm also not certain if I can use the manual activation button. If you or someone else have the answer I would be most greatful.

RE: V230
The compressor had conked out in my case. If pressing the self levelling button doesnt work then it is most likely to be a compressor problem and then you get a bouncy ride.
I took it to the local garage and they had the compressor replaced. It is a very common problem
Im not at all happy with the way this vehicle is engineered and will change at the first available opportunity

V230 AIR problems
Hi!
I fixed my own compressor. If you have a problem, check all air tubs and replace the tubs that are leaking. If this don't fix the problem, reconnect the air compressor under the car (placed right behind the drivers door) and check all O-rings and at least, check the valvs in the motor. My inlet valve had a leak because of an "enlarged" rubber behind so it didn't go all back and sealed the air pressure. Took som of the rubber with a nife and then all OK
