Its ability to replicate virtual machines to remote hosts ensures reliable and fast disaster recovery. Also, taking regular snapshots to minimize data loss is an important element.

 

I, for one, have been using VMware Site Recovery Manager (SRM) quite successfully to plan and automate recovery processes. This tool not only provides a high degree of automation, but also allows you to test recovery in a secure environment.
