I was talking to a friend who lives in Key Largo, last night. He said the rain and wind came down in waves, lasted about 10 minutes and then another wave about 20 minutes later, I guess Ft Lauderdale and that area really got hit hard.

Now N'awlins, which unfortunately is under sea level to begin with, is about to disappear under sea water. A cat 5 hurricane is bearing down on the Big Easy. Heading north would be wise.
