Pre and post workout nutrition for bodybuilders. Hey guys, I've been working out for a while now and I was wondering how important nutrition is in bodybuilding. What should I eat before and after a workout?

Great question! Nutrition is very important in bodybuilding because it provides the energy and nutrients your body needs to build muscle and recover from workouts. You should consume complex carbohydrates, such as whole grains or sweet potatoes, and a protein source, such as chicken or fish, before your workout. This will provide you with the energy you need for an intense workout and prevent muscle breakdown. After your workout, you should drink a post-workout shake containing fast-absorbing carbohydrates and protein. This will replenish glycogen stores and help muscle recovery. I recommend including high-protein whole foods such as eggs, chicken and quinoa in your diet. These foods contain all the essential amino acids your body needs to build muscle. I just stumbled upon this old thread and wanted to chime in. It's awesome that you're thinking about nutrition for bodybuilding. It's a big deal! So, before hitting the gym, make sure to have a meal that has a good mix of carbs and protein. Think whole grains, lean meats, and veggies. And after your workout, focus on refueling those muscles with protein and carbs. You could have a protein shake, some chicken with brown rice, or even a smoothie with some mushroom powders for an added boost. But remember, everyone's body is different, so find what works best for you.
