maybe there has been a mistake in choosing. the name Benedict XVI sounds like a vintage wine or liquor to me.

i have seen Pope John Paul II, and he has the kindest looking face. falling in love with him at first sight is easy.

 

Well, I know Ratzinger was a member of the Hitler Youth, and that his previous job/title was "Head of the Office of Inquisition" (that's not a joke). Other than that, I'm sure he's a swell guy.

There's nothing to the Hitler Youth thing. When you're a kid you do as you're told and go with the flow, unless you're retarded. He didn't have a choice. When he was eventually drafted into the real **** army as an adult, he deserted.

"Head of the Office of Inquisition?" That's funny. I assume this is a Vatican office? I guess someone has to head it if it's there. He didn't form or perpetuate the office, did he? He was merely an appointed employee? Since there were no Inquisitions under his watch, he was probably the right person to head it, wouldn't you say?
