I know we dont do carpet bombing anymore but with Iraq and all the insurgents i think we might want to think about it cause it might scare Iran into submission with out having to start a new war. A problem with precision bomb in my opinon is that it does not lower moral enough and these countries certainly aren't producing tanks and other equipment in factories like in WWII. Yes i know if we do carpet bomb an kill they're civilians then we are lowering are selves to their level but fight fire with fire? Lug u yourself said "I know they want to kill everybody and burn everything."

We want to stop them, not join them. We have the technology to do it. Ideally, we would knock out all of their nuclear facilities without killing any Iranians or Americans, civilian or military.

I disagree. I think precison targeting is very demoralizing for the enemy. Just ask Saddam and his troops. The military gets the idea that they have no place to hide. Carpet bombing will just give Muslims everwhere else a reason to go cuckoo on everybody.

I was just pointing out the one and really only problem with presion bombing in my opinon it just doesnt bring the fright that carpet bombing does. Ie: Total War like during the US Civil War Sherman's march though Georgia i assume ur aware of that since u live in Georgia.

Carpet bombing only scares civilians.

If we attack Iran, Muslims will forget about cartoons real fast. Then they'll need a new excuse.

Only regarding cartoons. Muslims have hated the Danes for a long time. They'll hate them for any reason. It doesn't matter.
