always liked the charger
the maybach looks interesting tho
mazda senku looks really cool. rotary engine (like rx-8)
and the mercedes benz bionic car looks too weird. ugly even
but these are just my humble opinions

Is it me or is history repating itself? (retro mustang and the upcoming retro Chevy and retro doge products.) I guess the muscle car era isn't over yet. And the gas crisis? There's something fishy about it with all these retro muscles coming out of the wood work with large engines and some with engines bigger than before. But that's a whole new monster.
Hm a Maybach sports car. I've seen that a while back. Hm a Maybach sports car. Move over Ferrari owners. Ever seen the 30z Maybach race car, cool looking car.
Mercedes fish design. We don't need another ugly eco box! Take a cool design (like the Maybach for example) or something and then turn it into an eco box.
Nissan GT-R Looks like an updated skyline, or maybe this is the skyline replacement
The Volkswagen EcoRacer. Looks like a tuscan on a bad day. Interesting looking though.
Do Aston Martin ever make actual concept cars that never make it into production? And why do they all look the same? But a four door Aston Martin will be a cool item. Now you can bring ya friends along to witness what ya Aston can do.
With the imperial (as some what mentioned in an earlier post.) I see a bunch of 300Cs with Imperial kits.
Dodge Challenger This car looks about as retro as retro can get. (Besides them headlights) but if Dodge (and Chevy) keep playing around they will miss the boat again.
Lamborghini, If I was drunk, I would of thought that thing was a Lotus Elise. What car company is not going retro? But at least they are trying to get back to the hayday.

OOOH YEA! Maybe they could offer it with the 5 liter MB motor and transmission, rather then the Hemi package. If it is done like the new Mustang, the interior will be a cheap *** piece of plastic [:'(]

I don't understand why the engines keep getting bigger as well, especially during a gas crisis. People really have nothing to rant about if they keep buying huge cars with v8's like the Imperial or just suvs. Going back to Retro design must show a switch on the target market of manufacturers. Maybe they're targeting the older generation or baby boomers that grew up with some of these cars. They do have the largest amount of money as well...

RE: Coolest Concept Cars 2006
The oil companies punished us in the '70's by doubling the price of fuel when Detroit auto maker's cars got an average of 12mpg. Most hot rods got 5 or 6mph. As auto makers expand their lines into high power vehicles, we can expect fuel to spike up permanently again. This will be the demise of the big SUV. Unless the new and more efficient motors are used exclusively.
