Mercedes has never made a car that does 0-60 in less than 5 seconds that is open air (conv or targa) and would now be valued at less than $20K have they? Been thinking about it all day and come to think of it BMW hasn't either. I mean cars without any aftermarket additions also. If some one knows a model from either company let me know but i am pretty sure there aren't any. Like i said that is now worth less than $20K

 

hm. That is true. I don't think there is none. It goes to show that quality pays off.

 

Reason i was wondering is cause i need (want) a car that fits that and so far the only thing i can find is a C5 Corvette so that looks to be the next ride for me plus i can get 30mpg highway from the Vette. Though i went to DC last weekend and the 560 averaged 18mpg not bad for a car with no overdrive and weights over 4000lbs.

 

and that's if you drive the vette in a civilized manner. You know it be asking to be pushed to that 80+ range.

 

Yeah but my commute will be 40-50 miles a day at least starting this semester and i need something that gets the better fuel economy and the only thing that fast and can get 30 on the highway that is also open air is a Lotus Elise and you cant find one below $40K. Plus since the Vette is GM parts are cheap.
