Default 43 year old fruitcake.

I heard the expression that a fruitcake can never spoil, but a 43 year old one? I wouldn't be surprised if it's actually edible but, I don't think I would eat it. That seems like a quick way to rot gut central.

Aren't all fruitcakes 43-years-old? I've seen several fruitcakes in my lifetime, but I've never seen anybody eat a piece.

Come to think of it, neither have I seen anyone actually eat a piece of fruitcake. Has anyone in this forum eaten a fruit cake recently and care to share the experience?

What are you guys posting about? What's wrong with fruit cake. I have at least two pieces every year! Granted, some people's preparation of the cake will definitely make you GAG! But prepared right, with plenty of Bay Rum, it's really delicious! Now, after a month, I wouldn't trust it, not to mention 43 years.

Why ruin good rum by putting it in a fruitcake?

The key words here is 43 year old fruitcake. I never had any and no one I know, especially my age have ever had any, and all I hear is fruitcake is the mastiest thing on the planet but I wanna hear the other side of the fence and see who would touch a 43 year old fruitcake.

Get one of your dad's old shoes and fill it up with sugar. That should taste pretty much the same.
