Is it possible that my check engine light and constantly flashing fuel light on my 1999 ML 320 is due to a broken transmission dipstick tube cover and low and/or incorrect transmission fluid? I have 04 codes and it seems that when I push the dipstick cap on tight the lights go out for a couple days,. And please tell me I can easily check the transmission fluid level to at least tell me it's low or not . Thank you
