Default roof lift

SL600 cruzin; Thanks for the reply. I have the stings hanging from the ceiling marking where I might hang thin ropes from pulleys. But I 'm not happy with my thoughts. That's why I asked what you have going. Keep me in mind as things progress. Thanks

Default RE: roof lift

You want one rope (mine is metal cable) coming from a locking hand crank mounted on a nearby wall and going over a single pulley over the middle of the car's roof. Then attach four ropes (mine uses wide nylon adjustable straps), to the single rope below the pulley. At the end of each of the four ropes have a hook that grabs the roof in the front, back, and both sides (mine uses rubberized metal pieces about 3" wide and bent into a "U" shape and lined with a sheepskin-type material).

You can probably search the parts places online to see what one looks like. I bought my off the Net, but I can't remember from whom.

Thanks lugnut. I'll have to shop around. The four bent u clips lined with a soft material would be perfect.
