Default thanks master mb

The battery in my C240 4matic 2004 is six years old. It is giving off 14.76. Around three months ago shifting was sluggish, then around two weeks ago the srs light message came on, take to dealer. In my surfing I was told weak battery voltage would cause this.

any help appreciated thanks

you should replace that battery. after 3 or 4 years you should replace it regardless.

Question C240 problems.

I realize this, and I don't want to sound sarcastic, and believe me I appreciate your help, but would this effect the transmission and srs light. The vehicle has only 39,000 and change mileage. The reason I did not realize the battery was six years old is because the vehicle belongs to my wife. I seldom use it. I am only told of problems when they occur. I do all repairs on my other two vehicles. Again thanks for all the information. Just trying to cut down on costs.
