Ordered a CLS and just joined the forum
Hi all
I am 44 year (1960 model, but drives like 1986). I live in Croydon (just south of London). Would like to say hello to you all.
I put a deposit on CLS in October but I am most interested in a Diesel.
I understand that the 350 and 500 petrols will be availble in March / April.
Dealer told me that he believes the diesels will be sold by UK dealers in September 2005.
Any rumours/confirmations about that folkes?

Hey guys and gals! Wake up
What's happening with this forum?
I only needed some info about the CLS that will soon be coming to UK folkes!!!
In a BMW forum, the mere mentioning of the intention to buy a CLS caused an amazing stir, ALL POSITIVE. My post attracted 26 replies and 618 viewings so far.

many of the members are willing to help you, but sometimes we just don't know much about the market in UK.
still that doesn't make this forum bad because we just share what we can.

From what I know, CLS will only have petrol V6 for 350, V8 for 500, and V8 kompressor for 55 AMG models.
The CLS is not going to be a mainstream model like the E and S class.
Mercedes just came up with this car so it has something to compete with BMW's 6 series. CLS would be nice for people who wants somethng better than a CLK (built on C-class chassis) but can't afford (or just don't want) the CL-class
