Hallo everyone,
I am a Benz lover. My first Benz was a W123 estate,with a rear hydraulic suspension. I sold it and bought a w124 automatic with a 111 engine. I havn't had any major issues with it until recently when a rat died under the battery tray. I disconnected and removed the battery in order to get to the rodent. After reconnecting the battery,I started the car but the engine would not idle normally,unless I kept my foot on the pedal,otherwise it would die immediately.
So if I need to use the car,I have to keep my foot on the pedal,let the engine warm up,before engaging drive/reverse.
Somebody told me the computer would reset itself,but it's been over two weeks since the problem started and I havn't taken it for a diagnostic evaluation.
Anybody out there who could help me with this nagging problem?
I'd love to just get in the car and drive without all this fuss.
