just would like to know if the OBD-II of late mercedes benz models are also the 16-pin type? if so, what year model did it start?

obd-11 are all the same plug right through to eliminate adaptions and other types of plugs to access the ecu however some infomation still requires the adapter as far as trans and things go on some models couldnt tell you when obd-11 came out in mercedes but I think they maybee 16 pin or less
