Hello!
This is my first post and first time registering on a mercedes forum. I just purchased my second mercedes, a 1992 300SE. Pics are attached. Purchased for $2450. Mileage is 82k. Interior is like new. Below are a couple things I have questions about. I don't know if the below info should be under a different thread, so please let me know if I should repost under a different section. I used the search feature but was unable to answer all my questions. Thanks in advance for any help! My previous mercedes was an 88' 190d. Aside from the below concerns, I LOVE the car so far and it drives fantastic. Also, I've heard from several people already that the 1992 300SE is rare, but I can't find any hard numbers. anyone know?

1. If heated seats are applicable, where would the controls be?

2. On the side of each from seat, there is a scroll wheel numbered 0-9ish. Anyone know what that is for? The MB tech didn't even know.... scary.

3. My gauge cluster is not working except for warning lights and parking brake, etc. No mph, rpm and such. COuld that be a fuse or a bad cluster?

4. I can't seem to get the heat working and I don't know if I'm not pushing the right buttons. The digital readout always says "lo" and it doesn't seem to be blowing hot. Both scroll wheels are set to red.

5. The rear right door won't open from inside or out, so I have no way of even trying to fix it. Any ideas?

6. Are the rear antennas that raise when in reverse just guides for backing up?

7. Transmission shifts perfectly in all forward gears, but in reverse takes a second to engage, and doesn't like to reverse up much of an incline. The previous owner said he was told 1 of the 2 transmission filters was getting clogged. Is that possible or is it probably a major repair?

Overall though for $2450, I don't think I could beat it. I've always had corvettes, acuras and jags, and only this year started getting into mercedes... and I think I'm in love....

Thanks again and I hope to be an active member on here!
