Signed in as a visitor yesterday and found couple of solutions to some minor problems with my 2000 S500. Became a registered user today. I as I see most of you would rather find and repair a problem rather than take it to a dealer or other repair shop. One of my recent fixes was a replacement of the Hydrolic pump which controls the suspension on the S500. While driving the car my wife suddenly got the dreaded square red box stating the car is too low to continue driving stop immediately. Well, with luck it occurred 200 feet from the house. She slow rolled it too in front of the house where it settled down on the frame. I had 1.5 inches in the front between the bumper and street and around 4 inches in the rear. I could not find a towing service who would tow the car to the dealer without stating the car could be damaged in the process. I elected to buy the pump from Mercedes for 267.00 and my son and I changed it out in about 2 hours. Once removed inspecting the old pump I found the lower part of the pump(the cylinder) had broken away from the rest of the housing.

The only completely new hotel on the Strip is the Wynn (opened April). Bellagio (last December) and Caesars (August) have opened new towers. Of course, there is more under construction (Venetian addition, Wynn phase 2), and a lot of property has changed hands in various mergers, etc.
