I just joined and am looking forward to your "good" advice. Does anyone know how to adjust the AT modulator on an 87 type 722.323 transmission?

I am replacing my old modulator with a new one and would like to know how to properly adjust the new one other than hit and miss. I could just install it and see how it shifts and go from there, but I figure there must be a better way. Isn't the tube attached to it a vacuum tube? If it is not too much trouble, I'd like to have as much info as I can get. Thanks.

I found that the pressure setting should be 58psi. Can you tell me how to remove the old modulator valve on my 722.323 transmission?

modulating pressure is 4.2 bar.

measure it be removing the plug screw next to it and put the pressure gauge.
