Yo' Dudes an' Dudettes

I'm 65 retired and started working on cars when I was 7. I've been on three other forums. I've found them to be a wealth of knowledge. It's really helped me to maintain and repair my vehicles.
When working I was a computer systems analyst. After I took an early retirement I have had many fun jobs.

I'm absolutely nuts about anything with an engine and wheels. Working on cars and trucks is just about my favorite thing to do (well .....). I look forward to learning a lot about Mercedes.

We bought a 2007 MB E350. It was delivered today. It's really an over-the-top car but might as well ... we're not gettin' any younger. My wife will be doing most of the driving as I have my Toyota Tundra pickup.

I've got a lot of back-yard mechanical experience. If I can remember it all. I'm glad to help where I can.

See ya'

He said yo I'm glad you're not one of those secluded old people. You, you work on cars, seem energetic and know how to use the internet. Impressive. Welcome aboard George! Question, why did you decide to go with the E-Class versus another competitor like the 5 series or Audi A6/8?

Thanks for the good words. We had BMWs for 16 years before retiring. We didn't know what our financial situation would be when we retired so we went conservative. Since then we have found that we can spend a few schillings so: MerBenz.

I would love to have had a Bimmer but I got to looking at the "take over the lease" websites for MB and finally figured out we could get a Benz. I really like the sporty feeling of BMW but honestly was looking for more of a cruiser than a canyon-carver.

Thanks for your interest. Dudes and Dudettes I may be old but I think young. Consider involving me in your discussions.

Hello everyone.

I am new to this (all) forum thing. I just recently purchased a 2007 E350 (Sak 5th Ave. Edition) & I have to say it's one of the smoothest riding vehicles I've been in. It was a toss up between the Lexus GS 430 or the Benz. I'm glad I made the right choice. I'm in here for insight, suggestions & advice.

Thanx for listening (reading)!
