New here
Well I recently received a hand-me-down 76' 450SL from my father-in-law. He told me if I could make it run I could have it. Within a couple days I had it running and have since painted it Viper Blue. I absolutely love the car and all of my friends are jealous of it. There is still a lot of work to do. The interior is thrashed and the door panels have been stolen. It doesn't always want to start right away and it backfires occasionally. The smog equipment has been removed and the soft top is sporting the holey jean look. So for now I have the hard top off and I drive it everywhere, I even find myself coming up with excuses to drive more.
This was my first paint job ever. It looks pretty good considering I did it in my garage. It's urethane basecoat/clearcoat. Viper blue pearl.

I just did a paint job on a 350 last year. They are nice cars but the firewall sub frames tend to rust out.
