Hello guys..my name is Imack, .just bought a Silver 2004 SL500 really cheap...which means needs some serious work. I will be quizzing the forum for tips. I am a Mechanical Engineer and have a small shop where I can make/modify small parts. The car has the rear struts bad, but I am not spending the money......I plan to refurbish them myself. Also plan to refurbish the front control valves since the front wheels drop after parked for a little while. I am also armed with access to ShopKeyPro which is essentially the repair manual online. I am a radical mechanic and always look for ways to circumvent the costly Mercedes Components.
