Another Mercedes owner. Love these cars, have a couple of 78 300D parts cars, a 1981 240D and a 1982 300SD(soon enough will be my daughters first car). Looking for another as my regular car. I am thinking of a bio diesel, vegatable oil convert. Lets face facts, gas will be $5 a gallon by the end of 08. We just cannot seem to do without the life style of our cars. Only way to fight this is pay the least available price for fuel. Some do this, some, I believe, don't even bother to check the price. I believe this forum will be very helpful to me as I advance throu the world of MB. Ken Jensen

Yeah price of gas i am at the other end of the MB gas prices my 560sel gets 14-16mpg. I should have kept my diesel!

I think that is, most likely, a very nice car and even at gas prices what they are, it must be worth the extra money just to drive it. Is there a place the explains the MB models. I never have fully figured out thos numbers and letters.
