I just purchased a new '06 C350 fully loaded with all the goodies and bells and whistles

Have I made a mistake?
I have heard it refered to as a poor man's mercedes and a KMART like smell or something...by Car and Driver for a Poor Man's MB it was kind of pricey at over $45,000

This is my first MB...I am coming from a Nissan 350Z which was FAST and Furious...to a more grown up car....

Has anyone heard any Problems with this car??? recalls, anything?

 

All I have to say about a C class being a poor man's Mercedes, is Hum Bug. KMart smell that is a new one on me. I can still smell the leather in my 99 C280.

In the recent issue of STAR the MBCA magazine, some asked about reliability issues, the answer went something like this, Mercedes builts cars to be driven fast and safe and all cars will have to be fixed during their lifetimes, Mercedes more, or maybe less. The big problem with Mercedes and other new cars is electronics to keep us safe supposedly. Electronic engineers design cars today and not design engineers.
