Default ML320 flood car

After all the fluids have been changed...... I am trying to start my water puppy(ML 320).
All I can get it to do is turn over and give a breif putt. After that , In the odometer window, a shape of a ( wrench with a -1 D) is present. Can anyone tell me what this might mean?

service light.

since you have just change the oil, you need to reset it.

should be on the manual on how to do it.

I'll try again. This thing was under water in the last flood here in Pa. We changed all the fluids and are tring to dry every thing out. We tryed to start it the other day, but all we get is ..turn over and putt. It sounds lik it wants to run but....... You know the older cars with carbs, you could pump the gas when they did that and they would start? that's what it sounds like it needs, but I know you can't do that.

was the air filter soaked wet with water after checking?
if it was, then the water must have gone inside the cylinder and bent a conrod.

No, the air filter was not wet or under water. Could there be something wrong with the brain box?

no. there is more chance of the water entering the air filter than the computer.

try checking/cleaning the crankshaft position sensor. sometimes the connector gets loose too.

everything seems to have a go signal from the engine control unit, so the only problem might be the input signal which weakened by moisture.

the other thing is the fuel.... pressure, and delivery.
