yah it seems unbelievable, (to me atleast) but it has been garaged for nearly 20 years in my grandparents barn. what i have been scowering the internet for is a turbocharger that will work with this old 5 cyl diesel engine. i know that mercedes experimented with diesel engines in race platforms back in the 70's and turbocharged the engine. is there a manufactorer who makes a compatible turbocharger? i thought maybe garret, but this is an old car with no ecu or anything, and i thought that since there is no ecu there is no wastegate control i.e. making it incompatiable with older diesels. i am new to this and used to petrol cars so any help would be soo greatly appreciated. thanks, its nice to meet you all!
