How is everyone i joined the site cause i have had 3 Mercedes so far and about to get number 4 it appears, the three i have had were 72 220D gutless but cool, and the other two were identical 300D turbos both 82 both white with blue interior, one lasted for about 235K the other over 350. The one i am about to get i am told is a 74 240D 4 speed, but i was also told it starts with a key which makes me think it is later than 74 as i think a 74 should have pull **** to start it, but i will see when i go look at it. Anyway thought i would drop by and get some tips and tricks for the thing and learn a little more about these cars even though i have had 3 i haven't really tried to do any "tricks" with them and im thinking i might go little nuts on this one just for fun. Anyway hello all.

 

Yup that's what i thought turns out its a 77 not a 74 which makes it W123 not a W115 but that's alright i liked my old 72 but honestly the 300D's i had were much better cars i know this is not a turbo and will be as slow as my 220 was but my 220 was a 4 speed as well and i think its just cool it has a 4 speed it also gives me the ability later on way way down the road to swap in a American V8 with a 5 speed.
