Hello all ..just joined your forum I'm Steve from Tom Jones country....Wales...having a problem with the wiper blade on my C250 Diesel Sport Estate.Seems to stick half way then completes the motion and does same thing on return.Contacted Mercedes Independent specialist and they say in could be the mechanism ...costing £250 to replace...ouch! However the problem seems to rectify itself for a while and go o.k.,then low and behold it returns back to it's bad behaviour......so i'm reconning that it couldn't be the mechanism........please any ideas ....PS I saw A Recent post on wiper blade ..could it be the same problem ???

 

Hello! Yes I have the other Merc with the same annoying problem.

I have been told two things by different people

a) The wiper MOTOR (£90 from GSF)

b) The wiper GEARBOX (no idea how much, alot I presume).

Still not 100% sure, I will probably take mine into Mercare in Plymouth and ask them before I buy anything so if I find out I will let you know!!

To be honest, I never knew it even HAD a wiper gearbox! Ah well, I blame it on being blonde, lol.
