Hello, all...
I just joined up and thought I'd say hello. I am a lifelong MBZ owner and fan.
My family has owned Mercedes cars all my life. My father has owned a black 1977 280E, a silver-blue 1985 300D, a smoke-silver 1985 190E 2.3, and a smoke-silver 1990 190E 2.6.
When I got my own driver's license, my dad basically handed the black 280E to me, until he sold it to buy my mother a new car. At that point, I purchased my own very first car, and my very first Mercedes, a beautiful light-ivory 1982 240D. I loved that car, but eventually wanted something with a little more power. I sold the 240D, and ended up buying an immaculate manila-beige 1985 190E 2.3. I drove that until my dad decided he was going to sell his own 190E 2.6. I decided I wanted to keep it in the family, so I sold my 2.3, and bought his 2.6 from him.
Presently, I am lusting after my ultimate dream car, which I have yet to acquire, because unfortunately, I have been out of work for quite some time. But when I have the means, my ultimate goal would be to find a pristine light-ivory 1987 300E... that is my ultimate dream car... and it MUST be light-ivory, with tan interior. That color combination just drives me wild. So, my search goes on, lol.
In the meantime, I'll have to make do with looking at pictures of them.
