Greetings from the PNW!
Hello from the PacificNorthWest! I really look forward to learning more about Mercedes diesel offerings through this website. I will be buying either a W123 or W124 300TDT Estate in the near future to use for long-distance driving. I started a thread about it in the 'Diesel Discussions' Forum and look forward to your comments. Thanks!

I actually choked up a little with the warmth of your welcome, must be getting sentimental in my old age.
Why does (what I understand to be) factory literature refer to it as the 300TDT?: Untitled Document

If my aged brain hasn't completely failed me the TDT designation stands for TD= touring diesel and the final T= turbo. It was primarily used by MB Ag Not so much in the US. I started with MB in 1980 and kind of remember the introduction of the turbo diesel. Or maybe it was just a dream.
