Default E420 vs. S420

I am thinking about buying a 95 E420 or S420 95-98 (great deals). I hear nothing but good things on both. My question is is there a huge diffrence in cost when it comes to maintenance or on the S420 is it do to being much more complex. I always scratch my head when I see so many gadgets. thanks for any inputs, Marcus.

im my opinion go for the S. its alot nicer than the E but it is much larger and heavier which wears the suspension a bit more. its overall a very good car. parts are more expensive too. try to get one thats been maintained at the dealer, and has had some of the major stuff already fixed. but reliability wise both are really good cars in my opinion.

Default E420 vs. S420

I am looking for those that can show records but the ones that have around 110k - 140k miles ( car runs and drives smooth but nothing ever done to the engine or tranny besides regular maintenance) red flags or am I just paranoid. I can only think about the owners not hotrodding around compared to a BMW M3 which I've seen being driven very hard. I live in central Florida so there is no New York traffic, no mountains to climb and mostly smooth roads. Easier on these cars I hope. I'm still stunned on the prices that I am seeing. What's the reason for selling and for so inexpensive. Thanks for the reply, Marcus.
