Charging BOTH batteries?

Charging BOTH batteries?
Is it possible to charge both batteries in my 2007 SL550 by an under the hood hookup of a battery charger? Just hooking up a charger to the starter battery only seems to charge the starter battery. You would think MBZ would have come up with a way to charge both in sequence.
