My C270 cdi runs on 2nd gear only. What could be the problem

 

What exactly do you mean? Do you have an auto gear box and it only selects 2nd gear? I have heard that the C Class gearboxes have an electronic controller which is reputed to be unreliable.....but easily changed. If its a manual the linkage may have slipped around but then you would get 1 and 2 or any other pair of gears. We need more info friend. Gary.

 

Thanks Gary for the response. Actually my C class is on auto transmission, after replacing the transmission fluid it got better, however during cold run (in the mornings) or after a long day parked, it start on low gear probably 2nd or 3rd.
