I've owned a 1997c230 fairly used for just 2months. before this i've owned a 190e for 8yrs. problem is with the c230. a week ago the transmission started behaving strangely. When i put it on drive. it would select 3 or 2. the engine will rev up without the gear changing. the computer says gear sporadically slipping or implausible. the mercedes technicians think it is the EGS. i dont know what all these mean. the transmission fluid has been changed and fully guaged. the problem persists. I've parked the car for now. please any mercedes guru should help me
