At this time Iown: 1979 280CE, 1990 300E and 1995 320E wagon.

I have not been able to find much information about my 1979 280CE pillarless coupe. I knew nothing about it when I bought it, just fell in love. Incredible condition both exterior and interior. It has115K original milesand is a dreamboat of a drive. People STARE at this car...what is up? Do knowthat only 5,091 were made. Does that make it rare? A dog? Both? What is it really worth?

Any information and personal opinions about thiscargreatly appreciated.

As far as I know, it's the gas engined version of the 300CD. I have an '82 300CD and I love it. I can only imagine how much more fun this car would be with the gas engine. The diesel version was also fairly low production, only some 8000 units.

 

I have the 280ce and absolutely love it. I to have found it very difficult to get detailed information about this car. I'm a 1st time forum user but I've been told this can be a very effective way to share information about these types of vehicles. Any help or guidance in both regards would be much appreciated. THX
