My sister-in-law has a 2007 230 SLK and will be putting into winter storage. She has asked me what needs to be done. I have a Miata and always disconnect the negative battery cable. Is this a good idea on a MB ? We are talking a Canadian winter which is hard on battery life.

An SLK is not a Miata. Agree with Forced--do not disconnect battery.
