06 SLK....... does anyone know the proceedure to
reset the "service reminder A" ?? The manuel does not do even a lousy job of explaining how to do that!

 

try this one , put the a service reminder in the kombi display (it should rread ex/ A service due now ,or milage) then press and hold in the reset button ( its either a black button with the letter (R) on it or a skinny black stick in between the gauges (almost like a trip reset on other cars) press and hold till the display changes it will either say do you want to reset service or some thing like that ) if so release and press in the same button you were pressing . (that should confirm the request and the light would be reset. now if you geta menu selection (like on the E-class 211) it will display confirm ,items, special items, ect.. use the up and down arrows on the steering wheel to select items ( it should then give you # like ex/ item 2, item6 ,item 7 then back out by pressing page back button and select confirm all service
when it ask to confirm all select (yes) and it will reset . i believe your car is on A,B service sched. so the first set instructions should work for your car
