HELP!!! Erratic instrument cluster gauges and continuous beeping…

Did you ended up buying a new instrument cluster? I have the same symptom on my 1999 SLK 230, I disconnected the battery connections and this problem shows up; fuel & temp gauze erratic, Speedo & RPM tach not working beeping noise with mileage read out "-------"
