I recently bought a 2000 SLK 230 and I believe it needs a alignment. I am not close to a Mercedes dealer. Can any good shop align this car properly?

 

Sure, any "decent" tire shop can align this car, as long as it does not requier any replacement of worn-out parts. Although they can tell you if any parts need to be replaced, which on the year of your car the most pobably is that they dont (dont know miles). You wont believe me, but some dealers take the cars out to another shop to get them aligned...jejej. Hope I helped you.
