I have a 1998 230 SLK Kompressor with electrical problems. It is losing charge intermittently. It has had a new battery fitted and I've just realised the problem only seems to happen when the lid is operated. It has been suggested that it might be the alternator.

Any ideas? Please Help?

Sounds like the alt. is bad. Bring it to a auto parts store and have them test the battery under a load to see if its getting a charge.
