A few days back I wrote with respect to a gremlin that was turning on the fog lights and parking lights at will. An unfortunate situation as it promptly killed my battery... However.
In discussion with my dealer, their solution is to install a $675 light switch. They claim that it is so expensive as Canada requires daytime running lights and that they have integrated everything into one unit..
This unit is located below the air vent, between the steering wheel and the drivers door. The unit also hosts the fuse box for all things exterior lighting and hosts the **** for controlling parking lights, fogs.. It has 4 harness plugs that install to 4 of the 5 sockets
That said, as recent holidays have put a crimp in my wallet this week, I was wondering whether anyone had access to the wiring schema for this part. My local import mechanic suggested that we could disengage the wires for fog lights and parking lights until such time as I can afford this ridiculously expensive part.
Any assistance, as always would be appreciated.
Thanks in advance

Thanks for the response Baz,
Sadly, it is not working as favorably as it should. To pull the plug for the fogs, worked fine. The same however cannot be said for the park lights as they are the same lights that work as turn signals.
A sad story, but, it will be a few weeks til I can replace the part, and it is a right pain in the jacksie to disconnect the battery each time the car is left...
Thanks
