Default SL320 1995 Driver's window problem

My battery went dead (still do not know why) but after I charged it for some reason the driver's side window does not do the "lower a bit until closed" feature like it did. Also noticed that the fast down feature is not working (one touch of the window switch should bring it down). The other window works fine with both features working...

Any ideas where to start looking?

thanks
Lou

might try disconnecting the battery ground for a about 10 minutes, then there should be a synchronization procedure in your owners manual. make sure your battery is good. did you disconnect ground before charging and did you operate windows or top with a low charge without the car running?

Hi - thanks for answering.

The battery was totally dead - I took both leads off to charge. I did have problems with the window while charging and testing. It seems to me that both were like half way down and I did not lower them.

I'll try what you suggested... thanks

I've not closed the trunk tight, that can leave you dead by morning. it could be a lot of things, start with easy, the trunk light if you couldn't find an obvious cause of the drain. your battery can't take being totally drained too many times. It's important to have a good battery in a sl.
