SL 500 phone system
Just purchased a 95 SL 500 and very disappointed that the phone is analog and cannot be activated. Everything now is Digital.

Has anyone found a way to integrate the Digital phone into the features of the built in phone system.

When I got my 94 that was one of the first things that I looked into having come from the wireless world as a vocation. Phone in the dash, another in the arm rest, both old analogs. Bummer. So, as a project this fall we are going to try to remove the one in the dash and install a video screen for navigation. Don't know if I can pull it off, but it is going to be fun trying!
Even if you could install a digital phone, the profile would be so much smaller than the dash has room for. Then what are you going to do next year when they change technologies again?

I wish I could just remove mine. I'll bet it's like a spider web of electrical connections. It's tied into everything, it seems. I'm afraid my car would quit working from clipping the wrong wire.
