I know someone who has a 1995 SL 500. When she unlocks / locks the car using the remote sensor the led on the door handle and inside the car by the roof either used to turn green or red (whichever operation it was performing unlocking or locking) just lately she has noticed when unlocked and locked both LED's flash for around 30 seconds.

she says it is ever since the alarm went off one day for no reason.

can anyone shed any light on this problem? I have looked in the operators manual but it doesn't mention anything about the LED's.

What is DAS recognition?

The car still works ok. it starts, unlocks / locks and drives ok. the LED's just flash for a while.


what does it mean if the flash alternately?

i'm sure they don't but would have to check.

when i was in trouble, they cannot help...but the television station did. the result was instantaneous.
