Repair Manual for sl320

RE: Repair Manual for sl320
I'm fairly certain that M-B never produced a printed manual for the R129 after 1993. And if you did find manuals from another party, it would be thousands of pages and cost a great deal of money. When available, these folks have manuals for the early R129: http://www.tmcpubl.com/mercedes.html. As I recall, they wanted hundreds of dollars for just the Electrical Troubleshooting Manuals.

RE: Repair Manual for sl320
I certainly appreciate all the feed back and concern from my fellow MB owners and DIY'ers. It is clear that a printed version will be close to impossible to obtain so for the small sum of $79.00 I guess I will spring for the version from MB. I really appreciate that information relayed by SunGuy with the partnumber. I was going to attempt an evaporator change out and that was why I wanted a detailed version, but after I visited a local repair shop that was in the process of doing one, I changed my mind. Not a job for a DIY unless you have weeks of spare time. Even the plastic houseing was maze of vacuum elements controlling different doors ect. Not a job I want to tackle, Id rather pay the price and get a year warranty. A complete job with a rebuilt compressor from DENSO, receiver/dryer,expansion valve, evaporator, and all the elements replaced, system flushed, ( due to compressor failure ) plus tax will be right at $3800.00 Had one estimate for 4800.00 plus the cost for the elements around 525. to 575. Well I guess I got away from the original topic, "the Manual" Thanks for all your help. Happy Motoring!!!! Now for a second Mortgage LOL
