Hi, I'm new to the block and this is my first post. I've owned a '97 SL500 for the last 6 years and must say it is one of the finest and most advanced sporty cars of it's era....except for the antiquated phone system (part of getting old I guess). Does anyone know if all 129's were pre-wired for the phone? In other words, do they all have the in dash phone connectors, microphone, speaker and mute cabling and hardware (if not the phone itself).

Does your car have factory phone kit?
You'll need Mikbox (forum sponsor) and/or PSE to get it to work.

Thanks for the info. The Mikbox webpage offered no solutions for Mercedes earlier than 1999. But good suggestion, I'll try calling them. That actually didn't answer my question, tho'.
