I just acquired a 1997 SL500 Sport. The previous owner removed the AMG wheels and replaced with with the regular wheel and tires that gave a softer ride. I want to replace the tires but am undecided weather to put the AMG wheels and larger tires on the car or keep the regular wheel. In both cases our primary concern would be noise and ride comfort rather than handling. Also, what seems to the the best all season tire that meets this need.
