The car I bought was built for German market and my manual is in German :-(

 

a plastic hammer and a blunt chisel will do as well. it's not really that hard.

you can also find some propeller counter holder tool. the one with adjustable prong.

 

Keep an eye on ebay. Manuals appear frequently - that's where I got my 1995 edition. Most come complete with folder, radio manual, etc.

 

I purchased a copy of a manual from Mercedes Corporate (on line). They tend to run out but once they reach a certain level, they will reprint. Ebay is a great source but I was able to purchase from Mercedes for less.

 

Sbeemish & Budsl600, thanks for your answers. Not sure about the moderators "enlightening" answer. Found what I was looking for, however on another SL forum that was less cryptic than plastic hammers & blunt chisels.

That's funny. Sleepwalker answers so many calls for help that he obviously got a couple mixed up. You can bet he had your best interests in mind, though. Plus, he likes scotch whiskey so you never know.
